The C19 Podcast Subcommittee seeks new members for 2019-2021! We welcome applications from scholars of all ranks across a diverse range of voices and experiences who are committed to public scholarship and collaboration. Join us in the building of a transnational public platform for vibrant, dynamic approaches to long nineteenth century American studies broadly defined. Duties include developing episodes related to the biennial conference, offering support and post-production help to episode creators, assisting promotion, and helping to shape the direction and practices of the podcast as a whole. Creativity with audio and podcast format, plus a willingness to think across disciplinary, institutional, academic/non-academic lines is encouraged!
Prior experience specific to podcasting is appreciated but not required: mentoring as well as technical and production training will be essential to becoming a part of the podcast team.
Application: CV and a 400 word max statement about why you want to join our team, what ideas you have for the future of the podcast, and an example of a podcast or podcast episode that inspires you (doesn’t have to be ours!). Submit applications and any questions to Xine Yao, Chair of the C19 Podcast Subcommittee at email@example.com. Deadline: December 25 2018.
