Conference: New Directions in US Studies: Re-imagining the 1950s and 1960s

On October 11-12 York University  is holding a conference, “New Directions in US Studies: Re-imagining the 1950s and 1960s.”  Seven panels will examine developments in the fields of history, sociology, literature, political science, as well as in art, film, and music.  Professor Paul Buhle from Brown University is the keynoter. The conference also celebrates the recent establishment of a US Studies program at York.
